OPI DS Sapphire

There is something about the old OPI Designer Series that makes me all happy inside :D must be that holographic rainbow goodness. My skin goes all kinds of crazy colours against different nail polishes in pictures, I apologize. This is 3 coats of OPI DS Sapphire <3 quite a sheer polish, so I'm thinking I need to try it layered. Never enough holos :3

Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy

Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy from the 2011 Beyond the Mistletoe Collection. I loooove this <3 but really it looks best in my opinion layered, on it's own it is gritty and hard to work up to opacity evenly. This is 3 coats, it goes on thickly. I love the holographic glitter in this one, out of the whole collection this one seemed to have the most holo glitter. It is gorgeous layered over a creme with a thick top coat. Yummy :)

Milani 3D Holographic Hi-Res

Oldie and a goodie. I know everyone has seen these 1000000 times but they are that awesome that they deserve it. Milani 3D Holographic Hi-Res is a super cute light purple holo. Hi-Res has a smooth formula that is opaque in 2-3 coats depending on how thick you apply it. And always gets compliments <3 ;)

NYX Girls Frizz Spots

NYX Girls Frizz Spots is a yummy holographic and silver glitter in a jelly black base. Here shown is 2 coats over black :) The glitter is very bright and contrasts over black. Black with holo glitter is always a win for me :) the only thing to be wary of with this nail polish is that it is best to use thin layers, the jelly base takes much longer to dry when used thickly - which is also why it is best to use this over a black creme, the dry time is much faster than using Frizz Spots on its' own. On its' own it takes around 4-5 coats for the black jelly to be opaque. I got mine from BeautyJoint.com along with some other NYX Girls nail polishes and each one that I have tried I have really liked :)

Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe

This is Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe from the Beyond the Mistletoe Holiday 2011 Collection. I purchased all of the 6 glitters from this collection, and this one was the least coverage, taking 3 coats to get to this stage and it is still patchy in areas. It is a little hard to apply evenly as the glitter is thick, and dries very gritty as you can see. But still, it is a beautiful glitter that makes me a little happier just by looking at it. There is mainly light blue glitter with a hint of green to it, and a good amount of vibrant holographic glitter all in a clear base. The dry time is great. Beyond the Mistletoe looks nice layered over a creme, and the lasting time is also much better. Worn alone the glitter tends to chip easily as it is thick on the nails. Overall, while it isn't my favourite glitter, it is a beauty anyway :)

OPI DS Illuminate

OPI Designer Series Illuminate is a delicious scattered holographic medium brown with green duochrome. LOVE IT. Super smooth, best with two coats. Dries very quickly and lasts. The OPI DS series are my go to polishes when I am in a hurry because they dry so fast, and because I love the wide brushes for quick and easy application. The green duochrome makes this very unique and adds a glowy look to the colour. Om nom nom...

Milani 3D Holographic Digital - rediscovering how awesome it is.

I know this is such a common nail polish and has been around for a long time, but really, how beautiful is that? Worth wearing more than just once. If you have it and haven't worn it in awhile, or even at all yet you should give it a go. It looks better on the nail than in the bottle. It really is pretty :) it soaks up the sun. This is 2 coats of Milani 3D Holographic in Digital. These Milani holographics aren't linear holos, but the holo glitter in them is slightly larger than what would normally be in a linear nail polish, which seems to make the colours that it relects more vibrant. They are easily purchased from BeautyJoint.com or CherryCulture.com for around $4.50 Formula is smooth and easy to work with, though the brushes are a bit small for my preference. The wear time isn't too bad either :)

Milani Cyberspace

The Milani 3D Holographic Collection is a hit for me. They are so cheap and they look awesome. Easy formula to apply with 2 - 3 smooth coats. They remind me of My Little Pony :) super sparkley and pretty!

OPI DS Coronation

OPI DS Coronation from the Designer Series is wicked :) I didn't think it would be very holographic, and while it isn't a linear holo it still has a good effect and is noticeable. It has more than just a little scatter to it. It took me 4 coats to get to this opacity, but the formula was very smooth and dried quickly so it was fine. Much like the other DS polishes it lasts very well without chipping. I'm glad I got it :)

Kleancolor Holo Chrome

This is the best $1.75 I have spent in awhile :) I love this. Kleancolor Holo Chrome is amazing, and was definately worth finding. This is 2 coats, and even one coat looked nice - jellyish, but even and a nice colour. The holographic glitter is very vibrant, the colours it reflects makes it stand out, even in quite dim light. I also like how it looks in the shade! My mum thought it looks like water with heaps of tiny air bubbles. This nail polish dries well which I wasn't expecting, lurve it :)

Color Club Worth the Risque and Fashion Addict Holos

These pics were taken on a very cloudy day and they still shone :)
Worth the Risque is a very holographic silver, it has a slight blue tone to it making it look very clean. From the Color Club 2009 Femme Fatale collection. It didn't look very holo in the bottle, but once it had dried on my nails it was very nice :)
Fashion Addict is from the Catwalk Queen collection and looks like a light dusty pink, and looks purple in some lights too. The formula for both was 2 coats and went on nicely. They dry a bit more holographic than when wet. I was impressed with them and for a pale person like moi they are nice colours :) I can only imagine how holo they will look in summer here in NZ!

Glitter Gal Black Holographic vs Color Club Revvvolution

Glitter Gal Black Holographic

This is a very holo holo >.< and a good black, not dark grey. The formula is great, needs 2 thin coats, not far from opaque in one coat, just needs to be evened out. The only down side is the bottles are 9mls, but for me I don't remember ever using up a full bottle of anything. I will definately wear this again :) I love it, it's cosmic looking. You can buy this and others from http://www.glittergal.com.au/

Color Club Revvvolution

Not as holographic and a lot lighter, and the formula needed 2 - 3 coats. Revvvolution still is an awesome polish but I much prefer the Glitter Gal. In the shade Revvvolution is a charcoal grey colour, and Glitter Gal Black is black, so for me I would rather have black :)

O.P.I. Designer Series Extravagance

You all have probably seen this several times but it is soooo pretty and you need it :)
This is OPI Extravagance from the Designer Series. I haven't come across an OPI DS that isn't worth the extra money so far, they are all so pretty, and have great formula and staying power. This one was the same with 2 thin fast drying coats it was done. Great product, I love it :)
Yummy holo!

Poison Ivy Nails

Holo and glitter >.< This is Milani 3D Holographic Hi-Tech and NYX Girls Enchanted Forest. I think it was a bit intense for my camera! This is brighter in person and super sparkley. I love it :) it's magical. Enchanted Forest is a glitter in a tinted green base so it makes Hi-Tech a little greener but doesn't take away the holo effect. And here is Hi-Tech on its own..

And those were taken on a rainy day o.O can't wait til Summer to see them shine even more!

China Glaze Holographic GR8

This is China Glaze GR8 from the OMG 2BHOT collection, good formula and everything with 2 coats but it's not a super strong holo in real life so I wouldn't wear it again. The colour would suit someone less pink toned and pale :) I hope the rest of the collection is better for me, what are your favourite holographic polishes? I haven't found anything to beat the old OPI DS holos yet :)
